I choose the Warrior Heir, by Cinda Chima. I was recommended the book by my brother. I've only read the first 15 or so pages of the book and I was told I was going to be lost the first 100 pages, and I am. First in the book Lee's in the woods getting fish for his family when he goes back his father and brother are dead, and his mothers seems hypnotized. His house is ram-sacked and he sees his sister Carrie. The ones who did this to his family are called the Roses and the White Rose is apparently the most powerful wizard. Not the most threatening name to me. The Roses or the White Rose took Carrie to by a warrior. The last part I read said a 100 years in the future. So I'm confused what's happening now because he should have saved his sister. I'm hoping he will eventually and that's my prediction.

Wow, craziness!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you that the "White Rose" is not exactly a daunting name...weird that the author chose that for the head wizard...do you have a theory as to why he might have chosen it? There has to be a reason...maybe it will come up later in the book.
I have read both of your posts and I wonder if you are understanding it better now that you are further into the book-- I hope so.
I also wonder if writing about the reading and trying to describe the book/plot for someone else is helping you understand. Teaching something to someone is really the best way to learn it- isn't that weird?
Re-reading certain parts or writing down what happened after you read (in SSR or at home) might help you pick back up where you left off....just suggestions!
Sounds likes its going to be action-packed! Good first summary
ReplyDeleteNice summary! Looks like an interesting book. Your blog looks great!
ReplyDeleteSound weird but very cool. Why do you think roses aren't scary, I once had to trim a rose bush but my arm got stuck and a beetle flew up my nose.
